Gavin and Stacey creators coming to MediaCity

The company responsible for bringing us award-winning television shows Gavin and Stacey and The Mighty Boosh is relocating its Manchester offices to MediaCityUK.

<b>Baby Cow Productions Ltd</b>, founded in 1999 and owned by comedians Steve Coogan and Henry Normal, will now continue to produce its up-and-coming comedy programmes from The Greenhouse in Salford Quays, Manchester.

The company responsible for bringing us award-winning television shows Gavin and Stacey and The Mighty Boosh is relocating its Manchester offices to MediaCityUK.

Baby Cow Productions Ltd, founded in 1999 and owned by comedians Steve Coogan and Henry Normal, will now continue to produce its up-and-coming comedy programmes from The Greenhouse in Salford Quays, Manchester.

Baby Cow Productions Ltd have a reputation for bringing through the next generation of British comedy, and it is felt that moving into the MediaCityUK can only increase the company’s potential to nurture new talent.

Coogan and Henry’s comedy project also has a home in London which has contributed to the successful shows that have aired on the BBC, ITV and digital channels.

In 2008, BBC Worldwide purchased a 25 per cent stake in the company.

In fact, the BBC, ITV and The Pie Factory also have bases in The Greenhouse so Baby Cow Productions Ltd will be in good company.

Fans of Gavin and Stacey or The Mighty Boosh will now be hoping that Coogan and Henry can create something similarly brilliant from their new headquarters.
