International PR agency Citigate has opened a Manchester office – with MediaCity a key factor in its decision. The firm, whose full name is Citigate Dewe Rogerson, has established a base in Spinningfields.
It said there were three main reasons for its move – to grow its North West client base in the North West, to offer a geographically closer service to existing clients in the region and to be nearer to the BBC’s MediaCity HQ.
Jonathan Flint, managing director of the corporate team, said: “With the BBC’s move to Manchester and the growth of business sectors in the area, it is an exciting place to be.
“We believe this new base will give businesses centred in the region the opportunity to tap into the resources and experience of a big international PR firm yet still get local face-to-face service.
“There are significant opportunities to grow our client base not just in Manchester itself, but in other growing business centres like Leeds and Liverpool as well as provide on the ground service to our existing clients in the area.”
Citigate, part of international communications group Huntsworth plc, is one of the largest and best known international public relations agencies in the world.
