Renowned sound mixer Mark Briscoe has been appointed head of audio by dock10.
The RTS award nominee has worked on many of the most well-known TV dramas of recent years including Last Tango in Halifax, Scott and Bailey and The Street.
He’ll work alongside Mike Stewart on dramas, documentaries, children’s programmes and other genres.
Briscoe said: “This opportunity is one of the most exciting developments in my career. dock10 is an ambitious and forward thinking company with facilities that are second to none. Together we aim to introduce more productions to MediaCityUK, offering professional and creative expertise in every aspect of post production.”
Another to move to dock 10 is Jon Nunn, as post producer. The appointment is part of the facility’s drive to expand its drama and documentary work after being named Red’s preferred post-production supplier.
Nunn started his career almost 15 years ago as a runner at Sumners Post Production, working his way up to post production co-ordinator on programmes including Dragon’s Den and The Royle Family.
He joined ITV in November 2011 as a post production co-ordinator on the likes of Coronation Street and The X Factor.
Paul Austin, head of post production and content, said: “Post-production is all about the talent and we are delighted to have two of the very best joining the dock10 team.
“They both have an incredible track record working across a wide variety of programming, and we are looking forward to benefitting from their experience as we continue to grow our post production business.”
