Pokusevski’s Deli, originally based in Heaton Moor, is to create at least 10 new jobs with a new flagship outlet at MediaCityUK.
It’s taken a 25-year lease on a 1,300 square foot property next to Costa Coffee, opposite the side entrance to The Studios.
Founded by Zoran Pokusevski, a former PhD chemical engineer, the original Pokusevski’s opened in 2003. She also runs a concession at Northern Lawn Tennis Club.
The opening date for the MediaCityUK outlet is still to be confirmed, and it’s looking for new staff.
Pakusevski said: “For the last 10 years we have steadily grown our business and our brand in Heaton Moor and South Manchester. Now it is time to expand into new areas.
“MediaCityUK is a really exciting place to be opening for business. The new space is bigger than anything we’ve operated before, but I am confident that our philosophy and approach will attract customers just as it has done before.”
Mark Robinson, property executive for MediaCityUK, added: “We are now home to over 8,000 people, so we’re always looking to attract businesses that can bring an added dimension to our ever-evolving city.
“Pokusevski’s is a brand with a great track record that offers something a little bit different, and we are delighted they‘ve chosen MediaCityUK for the first foray out of Heaton Moor”.
Pokusevski’s deli and bar will be open on Monday to Friday from 7am – 11pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 10pm.
