Microsoft, Game Republic and the BBC will be present at MediaCity’s first gaming showcase, which will take place at The Landing.
Speakers will be unveiling new software and games as well as giving developers and SME’s an insight into the sector.
“The speakers are industry trailblazers and the tournaments and hands-on activities will be a great way for SMEs and developers to try out the latest tech in our Space Interactive Media Labs,” stated Ann Darby, director of strategic partnerships at The Landing.
Among the speakers are Dan Hett, senior game developer for CBBC and CBeebies; Lee Stott, technical evangelist at Microsoft Opportunities for Indie Developers; Jamie Sefton, managing director of Game Republic; Alex Johansson, creator of Narcissus and Educator; and Ashley Stancill and Sam Read, the co-founders of HyperSloth and creators of Dream.
The free showcase is co-hosted by Space Interactive Media Labs and Update. It takes place on Saturday 12th April from 11am to 7pm.
